November Chart Action plus Another Archive Date

In December I've now got Benji B  (Radio One's new boy for all things deep) playing at Archive - Friday December 10th.

Here's my new chart for November - expect these to hit a dancefloor near you soon.

Wednesday, 13 October 2010

My club night, Archive, returns on Thursday 20th November.

It's been going for over two years now, and we've had a great time booking all our favourite artists and djs to give Liverpool something a little more leftfield than maybe it is used to. Theo Parrish, Daniel Wang, Joy Orbison, Optimo, Ashley Beedle, Maurice Fulton, Justin Robertson, Todd Terje, The Revenge and many more have all rocked for us.

The next party sees us in a new home, the amazing and brand spanking new LEAF ON BOLD ST  So new in fact, that it is still being refitted. See link.  Leaf opens its 1000 capacity doors on Nov 8th and we are part of its official opening party on the 20th.

Archive will host the huge upstairs room with myself and special guest MOSCA spinning.  More details to follow.

New RA Chart for October plus Cream 18th Birthday

Disco, techno and house are all equally floating my boat at the moment. Turbo Records are on fire again, as is Boys Noize.  Check my chart here

In other news, Cream's 18th Birthday has completely sold out over 10 days before the event! Its going to be a huge night. You can catch me in the annexe with Funkagenda, Chris Lake, Michael Woods and Jemmy.  See you at the front.

Cream Tours

I was in Leamington Spa on Saturday for the latest leg of the Cream Tour.  Had a great time. Im often worried about how commercial (or not) a new city/venue is going to be. Soem are, some arent, so you need a healthy mix of tracks in the cd wallet.

Some tunes tunes destroy whatever the crowd though - they are that good. One that is simply killing ANY crowd is the Hey Today! remix of Tiga's 'You're Gonna Want Me'. Part of a massive Turbo Records remix package, its unashamedly peak time all the way. Check it.

Creamfields last weekend surpassed all my expectations - best one ever. Ive been going as a punter sice the first one in Liverpool in 1999 and have had some great years at the festival - Sugarhill Gang, Basement Jaxx, Goldie, Leftfield, Massive Attack all bring back great memories.

Ive also djed at the festival as a Cream dj for the last 6 years. Last weekend I was in the Annie Mac Presents Arena, the same slot I had at Rockness a couple of months ago. It was absolutely going off in there! Packed and boiling hot straight from the off at midday on Sunday.  I also filled in for Annie Mac a little later on as she got stuck in traffic for a bit, taking over from Ms Dynamite, who destroyed the tent with an amazing live set, finishing on smash Wile Out.

This was taken just as I finished - massive crowd!

Sunday, 20 June 2010

Sorry for the lack of posts - been a busy few months.
Last weekend I was playing at Rockness in Scotland. My favourite festival by a mile. Played 5 sets in total (!) - including a warmup for Zane Lowe, an opening set in the Annie Mac Presents Tent on Saturday, and 2 sets in the Radio Soulwax Arena on Sunday, including the headline set to close the festival!

Had a great time.

ARCHIVE - FEB 5th 2010

As many of you know, as well as my 'big room' escapades djing for Cream and the like, I also co-run my own night called Archive in Liverpool.

We have been going for over a year, past guests include Greg Wilson, Theo Parrish, Ashley Beedle, Daniel Wang, Optimo, Maurice Fulton, Chris Duckenfeld. Real disco and funk vibes take main stage.

Our next two guests are THE REVENGE and the hottest producer on everyone's lips, JOY ORBISON.

Our next party takes place on Friday February 5th at Leaf in Liverpool, and features THE REVENGE.
